October 2016 Writing Contest

October 2016 Writing Contest

The next I got from a prompt from Buzzfeed that I shared with my Facebook Group.  The general consensus was that it would be a great prompt for a contest.

I thought more on this and figured that I would open it up much, much wider than their suggestions.  (though their suggestions would be welcomed!).

So, it will be a crossover contest.  But here is the twist.  You can do it placing your favorite people as the people in the movie.  True Blood characters in Vampire Diaries?  Go ahead!!! Twilight merged with Marvel Cinematic Universe?  Already done it, come join me!  You’ve Got Mail the movie, but with the characters of Supernatural?  Sure!  I would read it!!!

Here are some ideas that BuzzFeed came up with:

Those are only a few to show possibilities or hopefully fire off those muses to come up with something!  Anything goes!  Here is the link to the rest of the Suggestions they came up with:

The rules are as follows:

  • Must use prompt(s).
  • All fandoms are allowed.
  • No letting anyone knowing which story is yours.
  • If you submit, you can grab the Banner for Participating for the month. You will also receive a banner for the story you submit.
  • If explicit, you need to warn people in the title.
  • All entries must be received by kittyinazwritingchallenges@gmail.com by Midnight CST at the end of the 15th of Oct. 2016.

To enter, you can send it to the Kittyinazsbetas@gmail.com or to the Writing Contest email, KittyinazWritingChallenges@gmail.com. These are both permanent email addresses that Rissa checks for entries and really anything. Please include the name you want on the banners when the contest is over for Rissa to send to me. She sends the stories to me and erases any way of me knowing who wrote what. They are due by the 15th of October at midnight CST.   From there I will reserve until the end of the month to be able to do banners, with the option of opening the contest early if I finish ahead of time.
