Stories Have Been Stolen
Dear fanfiction writers,
Please be aware that there are fake websites which have mirrored literally ALL FANFICS from Fanfiction.net.
As far as I can tell, they are near-perfect mirrors, updating in real-time to FFN’s servers.
All of your stories, your profile, everything has been stolen and copied onto the following websites: http://www.thebuystock.org/
They are making a profit off your stories with advertisements. This is called spamdexing. Please report them. Theft of this hefty magnitude, literally millions of stories, should not go unpunished.
Also, do not attempt to log in to any site that looks like Fanfiction.netbut is not. In theory, they could steal your email and password!

I talked with the ladies in my group, have talked this over in the past with close friends. Then I talked with M, the hubby.
See, I have insecurities. A lot of them. And I just can’t see why anyone would want to read original fiction by me. I hear so much about how I manage to find possibilities in Fanfic to write on, but not a lot is said otherwise. So, after talking to all the aforementioned people, reading the copyright laws, (which thank God I can read that stuff but my back and neck has been hurting from it!!) I am taking this chance.
You get to read an original fiction by me.
I will say this fic has been played around with by me for over five years, as well as dreamed, thought about and so on longer than that. I first was going to do Alice and Hatter from Syfy Alice (2010). That one was really involved and thought completely out. A rough draft of an outline formed from it. But then the ladies I discussed it with and I no longer were working together. We all went our own ways, due to RL.
Then I thought, hey, it would be a great idea for a Damon and Bella fic!!! I went so far as to type out chapters, crying, since it really is a sad beginning (but it is awesome later on!!!!). I had at that time started to tie together some of my fics into a universe.
But then, Charlaine Harris wrote the last book of the SVM series. I never read it, but I was in love with the characters. I had planned to read the series when she was finished, but with the ending being what it was, I refused.
I was talking with my team of betas at the time, Meridian, Bertie Bott, Mommy4Thomas, MissRissa81, MissRon80 and 4Padfoot. (I know I am missing some, and I am sorry for not remembering who was all on that night!) and I was telling them about this idea. They asked why don’t I try writing an Original Fiction series for it?
That started my mind going. I have chapters done and plan on returning to it more. But I planned out how it will work. Some of those plans had already spilled into fics. There are two individuals that have in fact appeared in my fics, and both happen to be in the Set You Free series, as well as a mention of another group in the Free Will is Everything trilogy. But that was before my ladies really talked to me and convinced me I could rewrite everything.
This was pulled before it ever got published and has sat in my files since then. But I was rereading it the other day, and while it is connected to the Brotherhood of Demons Universe, it really is separate. Armando Ignacio d’Napoli had to be different from everyone even in my universe. But I had plans for him.
So you guys get the chance to read an original fiction by me. I am sitting here nervous as hell, and debating with myself even as I wrote this. But all in all, I need to do something. This is easier to do than later when I send the manuscripts out for the first time. Obviously, it will NOT be published on Fanfiction.net. But I plan to publish on other sites I am a member of that supports Original Fiction.
When you click the button to be taken to the chapter, for the first time, you will need to go through the Original Fiction Page I made. After this chapter, by clicking the links, you agree to the terms laid out on that page. Mostly that this is a work out of my imagination. That I have the rights to tell someone no; on using my characters, my ideas and so on.
If you read the page, there is a mention of how to read my other fics. That is the only way to read them. Within a week, I will be doing the origin story(s) that will be spread out among the series to explain everything. There is also a hint how to be considered to be a pre-reader for the other works.
So please sit back, read, enjoy, and leave me a message to tell me what you think. And yes, the beginning is ambiguous. I meant it to be that way.

Yes, we have had some issues. First there were no comments enabled on the new chapter of Edge. (yes, there is a new chapter of Edge! Click on the link to be taken to it.)
Then the site went down completely.
4Padfoot spent 9 hours (yes, NINE hours) on the phone with 7 tech support agents to get this site fixed. She deserves a round of applause from everyone for her immense patience and sense of Git Er Done, that she had. (sorry M has been watching comedy shows as well as Jackie Chan movies. I need to get him out of our room and the apple tv back in my control!)
WordPress was aware of it and issued a new patch to fix the security issues. If any WordPress users get notice of a new update, please install immediately! If I understand it correctly, this is across the board. On the website that you host, and the free one. So please do install it before you have issues.
However, I will reiterate it again, we have the site fixed. And for any ladies who are listed as betas, if you have not sounded off in the Beta Chat, please do. We are working on roles of the people who are on the site and cleaning up the backend of the site. Since we have essentially restarted on the backend, we are using the opportunity to clean up some loose ends, if you do not sound back to us or have other deals with me set up, you will be erased.
So what does this mean for you, the general reader?
Nothing.
I am using this as a chance to reach out to people who have been listed as a beta, to see if they still want to be thought of as a beta. If they are just on a hiatus, then I don’t want them losing all the fun stuff just because Real Life has interfered. Real Life sucks and I don’t want to take away anything that could allow them to escape. Since as a beta they get to read all the raw stuff also.
But for what I know you are really wondering; Kittyinaz,when are the next updates coming?
I am working on it. I have spent the last three days (and possibly tomorrow) out running about trying to get my iPad fixed. It works, but we have issues that the guy is trying to fix. He is awesome, but my iPad is being ornery. The screen just doesn’t want to stay glued down! Until that is taken care of, I have been trying to deal. Texas is NOT helping, with the weather being all freaky. We have the AC on, but it will be the heater tomorrow or the day after. Oi Vey! No wonder the Flu is very prevalent right now!
To be clear, I am working where the muse takes me while trying to edit a chapter a day. It may end up being a week, but like I edited an original story in under an hour, anything can happen. Or I can happen to feel in the mood and write a couple of chapters in an hour. It is all relevant. I am hoping to update everything this year, and hopefully, finish quite a few. Yes, I know When I Pretend as well as I Never…Did and In The End are favorites to have updates. I am trying.
Off to bed, to hopefully sleep, or relax. Hope you guys enjoy the site being back up. And thanks to everyone who told us. Neither 4Padfoot nor I had any idea since we were busy with other things.
Guess what? Somehow in the madness of this past week, I managed to not only get a bunch of new betas. (And thank you very much each and every one of you!) but I managed to edit a chapter.
