An addiction to Candy Crush
Right now, I am experiencing pain for the first time, but it’s not too bad. In other words, I should be in bed taking another pill, since what I feel as an ache is to normal people a lot of fucking pain. But I wanted to share some information with you guys.
To entertain me, my hubby made great use of my apple TV. And found Inuyasha on Netflix. And started it. Needless to say, this inspired me for my Inuyasha story. Especially since it is where the anime started. I have been brokenly writing a chapter for it. I say brokenly cause it is in between times that I am sleeping. And it has been driving me.
I also have a chapter of Edge started. When I say the drugs had me all scrambled I really mean it. Don’t worry. No drugs in my system now, and they make sense to me. LOL
I also had emails from my beta of What If saying she had three chapters done. WoOt! I’ll get to those when I am able to sit longer at a computer.
In addition, I had words from my beta for the Charmed crossover, and she is finishing the edits on those chapters. She had sent me some tests to make sure the muse didn’t run away. They were fine, we discussed some alternatives. And now I am waiting for the chapters to fly my way.
For those that are wondering when I am going to read their updates, well I have 330+ emails of updates in my inbox. I couldn’t read at all. So…sorry! Some of them I was saving for a day to settle down and enjoy them in more time, not devouring them to get them out of my inbox. I also have a bunch of things I need to reblog to get out of my inbox. Sorry!
I’m guessing a lot of you enjoyed Crossing the Fine Line. it had to be one of the most labor intensive stories I have done. Only because of the time restraints.
Also, to let you guys know, there WILL be a Christmas themed writing challenge. It will be early, since I will be gone from Nov 25-Jan 25 (Approximate) and I am not sure if my laptop I am taking with me can handle photoshop.
Now I am off to bed. To take those pills before I get a bunch of reactions I am not wanting to deal with. But hey… Ice cream!!!!!!!! (It helps with the swelling)
Crossing the Fine Line is completely loaded with banners and pics. It is loaded on the following sites also:
FanFiction (Edited)
FictionPad
A03
TWCS
BetterInTexas
Fanfiction Affliction
Needless to say, I am tired. I already took all my meds since I am on a ban from doing liquids and food as of a hour and a half. There is nothing like being told you can’t do something to make you want to do it. I guess that tells a lot about me. lol
Please read and let me know what you think. If there are any posts before Monday, I can’t testify if I am under the influence or not.
Now here is the fun part, 4Padfoot is in control of the site.
If you find any issues, let her know and she will try to fix for you. Otherwise, well I would be sending them to her too.
Now I am off to read my paperwork, make sure I have everything, then bed. C-ya later!
Yes, I got so cold last night my fingers hurt. And my jaw. UGH.
I got through Chapter 17 for the changes. I am going to pull up all the sites, then get to work again. I want this done before I am out of it. Especially since I will be lucky to get my laptop, much less this computer.
Also, food for thought (since I am hearing a whole bunch of lyrics lately to songs I have listened to since I was a wee one) The Immigrant Song by Led Zepplin makes me think of Eric:
Ah, ah,
We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs flow.
The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands,
To fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming!
On we sweep with threshing oar, Our only goal will be the western shore.
Ah, ah,
We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.
How soft your fields so green, can whisper tales of gore,
Of how we calmed the tides of war. We are your overlords.
On we sweep with threshing oar, Our only goal will be the western shore.
So now you’d better stop and rebuild all your ruins,
For peace and trust can win the day despite of all your losing.
Yeah. I was laughing last night to You Can’t Always Get What You Want by Rolling Stones. This lyric just cracked me up:
And I went down to the demonstration
To get my fair share of abuse
What can I say? My iTunes is on shuffle and it decided that I wanted Classic Rock along with everything else. And to think I was making banners and so on while it was playing made it more funny to all of a sudden to pay attention to the lyrics I have been singing the entire time.
Of course, that lead to my mom finding out I thought Bad Moon Rising was actually Bathroom on the Right. When you never hear the name of the song, it is amazing what you hear instead….
Anywho. Back to work for me. And if you don’t know these songs… What the heck? You need some lessons in classic rock. They shaped my early and teen years. Especially the teen years, since I was woken up by Time (by Pink Floyd think Dark Side of the Moon. Listen to the beginning, and you can see how I would sit straight up from a deep sleep when my dad played that on Saturday mornings!)
And Missy Stormy is trying to hide, behind my sheer curtains. Cats aren’t always smart. She thinks she is hidden, but not quite. oops. I said her name now she is wanting cuddles before she lies on her bed while I am working with Photoshop. LMAO now she is sitting there, staring at the screen I work Photoshop on and meowing at me, like, “Mom, get to work!! I want to watch the stuff move around!”
Everyone, I am finally caught up on all the other sites in posting. I just finished Chapter 9 here. The links are active.
How can you tell if I have posted the chapter? There will be a banner up top, as well the links below for the next chapter. Since all Chapters are published, you can actually read a chapter before I am working on it.
I am updating 6 sites all at once. Better In Texas, FanFiction, FictionPad, A03, Fanfiction Affliction, and here. I am also making the banners for the top of the page, as well as looking through the chapter to get an idea of who needs to be on the banner, as well as pics needed for the chapter.
So be patient, and I will post when I am completed with the entire story. You can keep track of where I am also through Fanfiction. I will post the chapter I am working on there, since no pictures are needed for that one.
The way I am doing them: open the chapter, Paste over to Fanfiction. Make banner and any character banners if needed. Then add them to chapter, link it up and publish. Then post to the sites above.
And please… Leave a review!!! I am seeing some pop-up, and I will be reading them. If they have questions, I will wait until I am done.
Sorry!!! But I had to!!! I already had a great alibi, my story was not done until after the submission date. In fact due to the awesomeness of my new beta, we ended up taking to the very last day, but she came through and busted out this story.
So I was not given a lot to go on. And my brain wanted E/S/G. So I sat here for a week or two (not sure it is all a blur in my head) telling my family I was hating not knowing what to write about. I listened to music, I looked at millions of pics. Anything to find inspiration to write this fic.
And then one night, I was listening to Between the Raindrops by Lifehouse, and the beginning hit me. And I went with it. NO idea what it would become, I let the muse have the reins and just sat down to enjoy the ride.
Then I got nervous and told my betas. My pre-readers Royal Ember and 4Padfoot stepped up to read it. And they encouraged me to keep on it. That it was brand new idea to the fandom. MissRissa81 was there checking it out, and making sure I wasn’t skipping anything as I wrote. And they pushed me to finish it. They wanted to know what was going to happen.
I never wanted a 27 chapter story. I wanted something short, that way I could get it written, edited and beta’d before it was due. But did my muse listen? No.
But I did celebrate the day I finished the writing. Then the next day, I got on the story to edit it. Many things are added to the editing process. Jason was given more time in the story to cover some blanks. I fixed the second lemon to be better. And over a couple thousand words were added. And I ran it all through Grammarly. I learned some things from doing it. I do recommend it to new authors, or authors like me who don’t understand things. In addition, it gave me a huge boost when it started to send me the results each week of my work. Seems I use more vocabulary than 98% of it’s users. Go me!!! And I write a lot more.
At first, we had time, and I was doing the chapters here where the Beta will correct to make sure they were done. Then I got sick. Yeah, no fun and the pressure was on me and I just felt terrible. As soon as I could, I was in here in the office, on the laptop, anywhere to finish editing and posting for my beta. I got done, and I went off to relax. My beta was all set to work on the chapters, and then her internet went down.
She stayed up to I think 3 or 4 in the morning my time, to finish betaing the chapters. I was right there with her, blearily blinking my eyes, but as she finished a chapter, I would strip it from anything that is my normal practice on posting and send the watered down chapters (not the content, just no title, no previous, and so on that I do) to the Queen of Area Five.
And she was awesome throughout this thing. I told her where I was and she pushed out my submission as far as she could so I could finish.
I have to say I liked the result. There is a little Doctor Who for anyone who watches it (10th doctor!!). If you ever are curious, that episode is how Lucifer escaped. There is Asimov in there. There is many examples of what shapes me to who I am in this fic. The muse dipped deeply in my subconscious for this one, and I was quite amused on how it came out. I never got to use the InuYoukai that I found.
I own NONE of the pictures I used for this fic. As often as I could, I used the artist’s copyright in the banner and left any signs they made it there. Unfortunately, since I was going so freaking fast, I didn’t get the links to the original pics. If anyone wants them, I can try to find them for you.
Now, I am still working on linking all of this, as well as adding the pictures, making banners (for both the chapters and the characters.) Since I will be out as of Wednesday, I am going to be posting this all at once everywhere. So as I work, this story will be added to until it is done here.
Here is the main page, and you can start there. If you don’t mind, leave a review. This story was so outside my normal, I want to hear your thoughts on it. It is finished, and posted over on the Fanfic Exchange. I will be working REALLY hard to post this here and the other places.
Hope you enjoy this, especially Natsgrl1. I pushed myself to make sure it is a story worthy of your awesome talents!!
And Huge thanks to Queen of Area 5, for not only working with me, but for writing my own story!!!! I loved it!!!
