That brings me to another announcement. While we waited for the awards to be announced slowly, Mistress Jessica1028, 4PadFoot, Gyllene and Magsmacdonald got to talking about awards. From this conversation, we actually moved forward and are going to have one for those in the TB/SVM. Yes, we know there are the Fangies, and we are not trying to steal the spotlight, but we liked the idea of a couple different contests around that we have been in. So You Want Blood Awards came about. And yes that pic is one of my infamous clicky links, cause 4PadFoot aka WordPress Whisperer has already got us a site!!!! We are gearing up for the contest and have the categories ready and so on. Nominations will open on May 1st, and will be one week long. So please pay attention while we play it up, and help make this a great year for our first shot at it.
Crossover Haven… OMG!! You people ROCK!!!! We have had a day of almost 1k hits and it has not really slowed down! And kudos to Bertie Bott for getting one of my favorite FanFiction Crossover writers to post on our site. For those that don’t know, Crossover Haven is a place for ANY and ALL crossovers to be. We are still working to suggestions put out on streamlining the site. Also, while the site has some crossovers listed, we did it to try to show that we will accept anything that falls in our guidelines. ANY crossovers will be considered, and only if you have incest, rape as being the main part of the story as in it being done to the main characters not as a past story point, or domestic abuse unless again, a story point. We wish to have some guidelines for the grammar, as in not all in lower case, or upper case and stuff like that. And for what is considered ok? Well, to be blunt, if one of the people who reads and sets up the stories has a question, then they talk to the rest of us to agree. Plus there is a judging panel in case there is any questions from the people submitting.
Why was the Crossover Haven brought about? Twilighted. They rejected ED saying that it had too many grammar issues. I heard other people complaining when I said something, and how that crossovers that are not Edward/Bella are rejected. So I came up with a place for them to be submitted and NOT have to wait a freaking month to just be rejected. Plus I really love crossovers. To read, write and just all around love looking at the ideas. It is how I got into True Blood, I read a Godric/Bella fic that I cannot find anymore. But it started me reading True Blood and here I am today.
I am true believer in also helping people get started and recognized for their unique skills. So yes, there is a lot going on, and I am still writing, making banners, character profiles, hosting challenges in our group, and doing everything I can to push forward to others what amazing talents people have. I’m paying forward the love and respect I have gotten from others. You guys are the one who encouraged me to chase my dreams, and so much has come from it. I wish to help others do the same…
So go forth.. read, write, and so on! Tell me of your talents, and I will showcase them as I can! If you wish to participate, or have ideas for things, come to the Facebook group and you will not believe the support you can earn with it. Its a great feeling when others see what you can do. Yep, It’s Sunday, and you guys liked the idea of me showcasing talent on my site. So I was excited when Robin told me that she made a video for me! And it was loading…everyone eager to watch, none more than me… Then her dogs pulled out the power cord to the computer. No kidding.
She felt so bad she had me view it on her computer, and I told her I would wait when the connection was not nice to us. I waited, and it finally posted to You Tube. So here I am with my video to tempt to writing more Damon. Anything. LMAO!!
Also…It seems Gyllene and Robin had some time on their hands and when I complained I wanted to make banners and couldn’t figure it out, they worked with me, to the point they did the networking thing, and nice, patient, Gyllene sat there and showed me what I was doing wrong. Let’s say I may have taken off. I am going off to update the Banners as requested by Gyllene with the ones I worked on. And I am still learning and playing with effects and so on. I plan to work on it during the times I am lacking time to get into stories. And weekends. However weekends have been with that whole not able to work on stories thing.

Yep, and you got One Shots to read, a surprise One Shot by yours truly, and so much more. So get comfy to read this post, I got some great reading for you to do… and vote on!! Yes folks, its that time of the month again, the Kittyinaz’s Monthly Writing Challenge is now open and ready for you to read the brave souls who stepped forward and wrote for the contest!
What was the Challenge for this month? It was a song, The Next Contestant by Nickelback. The song is on the challenge page, so please do listen to it. What made me choose this? Funny you ask! The reason is that it has been in my head for a one shot for a long time, and since I could not decide completely on the couple for the fic, I thought it would be great to use.
Please remember that the contests are to help inspire others to write, and to also let you know some of the authors out there. This may give them their break (which I would love to hear!), or just give you a new author that has been writing for awhile a shot at a different audience to read them. The names have been withheld, and you are voting on the story itself. There is no maximum words, nor this time a need to stick with one of my stories. It just had to be characters from my stories. Hey, it’s my contest! I had to get my stuff in there somehow!
But, to surprise everyone, I had wanted to enter, to get one of the snazzy banners missron80 makes, instead, I admitted I shouldn’t. So instead, I wrote a One Shot, that Bertie Bott Beta’d since it is her story. I wrote a Tea Shoppe One Shot. It takes place in the future. It’s to assure that no, I have not forgotten the fic, in fact for those that were not aware, it is getting a facelift by Bertie Bott, and Mommy4Thomas (My new Beta, so give her a warm welcome!). They are doing the facelift, then getting Twilighted Tea Shoppe ready for the next chapter. It is NOT forgotten, and this one shot reminded me of all the fun of the cast.

She has also made a page for the Meme of the Kittyinaz Facebook group. It’s been thrown around since the beginning, and really taken off, it’s “Shouldn’t you be writing?” It started with Meridian throwing the ones of the Avengers at me all the time, and since then it has exploded to the point that 4Padfoot has made a page for it. Here is the one that started it all and you can click on it to get to the page…that somehow is missing this one…. hmmmmmm…….
Also, don’t forget to visit her page if you are thinking of doing anything on WordPress. She has made her site into a showcase showing all the sites she works on. And I am not ashamed to say I push her for new and exciting things as I see possibilities.
There is the Food Blog, which is not having a Bi-weekly menu from me, sorry guys, I was so sick the last couple of weeks, I never made the food from the last time, so I bought what I needed fresh and am redoing it. There are some changes, but really, it’s a reuse of the previous week. Sorry for those that read that!
The Tea Blog? The same thing, too sick to write. I can’t even write fully on my E/B story. In fact I spent the whole day trying to get iTunes to recognize my phone, then once I got that working, my Office wouldn’t work. Many, many, MANY restarts later, I am not messing with anything. It all works, including a new printer, and I aint touching anything. Not tonight.
Tomorrow is another posting week, so we will be posting to the sites the one shot above, and the chapter of You’re. Since the Beta for You’re is sick, Meridian has stepped forward to work on it. She is a saint, and is stepping to work on it until the end, then Sitalia25 will be back to Beta the rest of the trilogy. So expect the updates on that to start up, she is asking questions, and I am answering them since she is not a follower of TVD.

Yep, we have finished our first contest for the Kittyinaz Writing Contest. And with the votes totaling over 1,300 votes, well what can I say??? the hits on the site for the days they were up showed you supported your group, reading the stories, sometimes more than once!!!
Missron80 did such an awesome job with both sets of Banners, I am going to show them both off!
Also, the results from Damon spilling the beans of the next story in my head, the voting for the next pairing is also done. That one had over 1,100 votes! The results are as follows:

I know it has been awhile for postings, but we have been busy. Unfortunately, the beta in charge of the anticipated story is not ready for posting, and no pressuring to her!! She needs her rest!!!
However… Over in the Kittyinaz Facebook group, a group of ladies had been talking about how they are wanting to know more about writing or was having writers block. We try to help our ladies out, and talked with them over different ideas to help them out. If you don’t know me on Facebook, I have a huge wall, and I go through it often. As I go through it, I share the stuff I find on my wall, share our favorite actors, and jokes on the Kittyinaz or my wall. One day I found this perfect picture that literally inspired me with a look.
So… I made a challenge. I am always looking for ways to get the ladies involved with the group, and this one post inspired some of the longest conversations and people wanting to write. We got five submissions, and hope that the next one (The contests will be posted in the group only, then posted here for voting) will have more. We have an awesome Banner that Sharon made for those that participated.
Now, for your part. I have posted each of the stories, without the authors names, so there is no favoritism nor any idea of who wrote what, and you, my beloved readers, get to go out there and vote. I will leave the voting open until March 12th, 2014. Why that date? Well, it is so this contest can be wrapped up with the Banner one on the site, so I can get out the one for the next writers challenge. If you want to participate, you have to join to see what it is. We also want to get the Banners done for the winners, and get the authors credited on the stories.
This is something I am really loving, encouraging others to write. To draw. To make banners, to get that degree or whatever your dream is. Life is too short not to do something you love. Other changes, Robin, our awesome WordPress Whisperer, and I had a meeting the other day. The results of this meeting is that we have added or will be adding some more pluses to the site. We have stories to add to the recs, and since we are not seeing many of you using the Blogs I love, we are going to have a rotating banner for each category in the Stories I love that fall under that author. More ways for you to find other authors and stories. Crossovers are getting to be big, and we are adding more to that. If anyone out there has a site, and is writing, TELL ME!! I support all the authors I can, which is why we have the rec page. We have also added more to the Amazon page, including a Recommend list that I show you guys what I like on Amazon.
I ma now committed to writing a bi-weekly blog on the Food Blog, that has to do with my menus I come up with. From what I am guessing, the ladies are still getting their feet under them, but they are linking the recipes as I mention them in the blogs. I also list money saving ways (That are not coupon hungry since I do NOT have a printer that likes my computer, and I refuse to buy the newspaper.) so my ways of saving money are from deals I spot. Nothing more. I also have a working budget of $300 for food biweekly. So it’s.. interesting.
Now I am off to try to finish the Twilight story I am working on, then Working on the MamaKitty story. (P.S. She is working on her first story, and she is posting it on WordPress, Its www.MamaKittyInAz.wordpress.com Go look and encourage her!!). I also need to work on my original so I can work with it and see about the next step. But there are chapters to come for You’re. And once I am done, I will have a lot to edit and get out there for you guys before I run off to write.

We just finished the Kill Bill Contest Volume One contest over on the Facebook group and the voting ended last night.
MissRon80 won the contest. Unfortunately, I have no Banner to give her since she IS my banner maker. LMAO!!!
But I have added the entries into my WordPress site and they are here for you to read. As always, click on Bill to be taken to the page that lists the entries.
As for Volume Two of the contest? Well, we will see when everyone is up for it.
Also an update for my readers, I am still trying to get Tea Shoppe done. I know you guys are wanting updates, but when I go to do updates, they will be by story, and frankly I will be rereading the stories to make sure I won’t forget anything before I do massive updates on them. After I am updating all BUT What If, I will go back and edit them, sending them to the betas with the rule of no more updated than once a week. Then I will settle down, reread What If and finish that story.
I know this has been longer than anyone has imagined. But I did NOT expect to get so sick, then Marty getting REALLY sick, not to mention my grandmother and so on. It really has been an unlucky year for all of us. So take a deep breathe, read my Beta’s work since I am giving them free time.
As for Brotherhood, that is a whole other story. I have to finish the rough draft before the end of the year. Only pre-readers who review, (and yes when I get a chance I will check who all is able to get in and the reviews…) are allowed to read it. I am working towards publishing it, so I value the input of the readers for when I am done with the rough draft and go back to work on the chapters, seeing what I need to add to them.
So be patient, read the entries for Kill Bill, read my Betas… (Sitalia25, Meridian, Magsmacdonald, Zabby Perno and Thewriteashley) who are listed on the side. Their names listed under the Beta banner link back to their sites. And I will be working on my 2nd story and give the readers an ending that they have waited over three years for. A month or two is not too long for you guys to give them that is it?
