Yes, I remembered. Though shhh.. it’s like 2:15 am in the morning, but I will schedule this to go out when I should be up.
Please remember, this is Sunday, my day away from the computer. I know!! You are shocked! Wendy? Away from the computer? What the heck?!?!?!
Since last Sunday was a success, we are making it permanent. And then we went one step farther, since it really took me all day to edit 4 pages, something that normally takes me a couple of hours if that, talking with Karen, we decided that Saturday is the day to play on the computer. No working on stories. Instead, if I am here, and on the computer, I get to play with my new video making program, or making banners. Or gif’s that move and stuff. Or whatever I want, as long as it is not a story.
I spend every day on this thing, but weekends are hard, everyone comes into my office to pull me into discussions that I have to pay attention to. Or we spend the day out shopping or walking around. Plus to be blunt, if I only work, and not allowed to play, well it aint good. Not at all. Instead, we are being proactive and pushing for me to have days away from the stories.
Other news, we have spruced up the site some. I was bored with all the writing on the side, so talking to Gyllene, she mentioned that I can replace the Betas names with buttons that once clicked will take the user to their site. Then I asked about the gifs with names. We figured out I could do it, and I went to town. Everyone either chose their own Gifs, or I somehow picked ones they love. Bertie Bott, Gyllene and 4PadFoot all made their own.
Then, I had more fun. 4Padfoot got online with me, and we played with our programs. She found an easier way for me to do what I was doing, and can add frames and so on. If you want to see what I did, click on the button below. For those that don’t know, Andrew Lee Potts was my first inspiration.
This is what happens when I get bored of things. I push my envelopes. Plus this past week was a drama filled week and I just needed to get my mind off of it. Yeck.
Good news for those that are following my health. Which seems funny to me, but here we go. Sleeping 4-6 hours is now normal. Without anything but OC drugs to help out. Yeah!!! I also finished the one month on the bicycle officially on Friday. So I am moving on to the Elliptical!!! Also, Hubs went with me to make sure I am using the weights right, and low and behold, he found out real quick why my arms gained muscle so fast. I was only doing 315 reps on just my biceps and triceps. Seems my 24 hours have 4 machines of each exercise of different makers. And yes, I was doing each of those machines… 15 reps x 3 on each machine. I skipped some cause it made me look sideways at them thinking they are the exact thing I was doing… just named slightly different. I am doing all this because I decided, life is just too short. I want to run again, and to do so I am working towards that goal. I want to feel better, so again, I am working towards it. Only I can change my life, and no one else can do it for me. It takes me an hour-hour and a half to work through it all, and I am proud of myself. I am eating healthier, and I am learning slowly how to do other things. But writing is my main focus, and after I get these lovely stories done, I will be working on my Original Fiction so I can start pushing it out there and see if I can work on getting it published. Well, let me correct that statement. I AM getting it published, just if it will be myself doing it or a publishing company will be the part I am still deciding on.
Also, the writing contest. It is open to anyone who wishes to enter. Sitalia25 asked me for an Angel, and I added Bella per her request. So now Bella is open for anyone to write on now. Just to clarify a question that has been asked many times in the chat, they have to be a character in one of my stories. What you do with them, is up to you. No, they don’t have to BE the character in the story. For instance Mommy4Thomas wrote one for Damon, and she did her own Damon. MissRon80 did her own take on Godric. It is all up to the writers. You just have to use a character from a story. If you have an idea, but don’t see an Angel for it yet, contact me on Facebook, or email the ladies. This weeks person I am going to honor? Kelpie!!!
This woman amazes me constantly. I was first introduced through her interviews on authors I read. I found her, was impressed with the get to know feature on her site. Then there is the Skarsporn Sundays. Such a treat!!! I went through her site, and she also writes!!! I even found a fellow writer who writes kinda like me and has many stories in her head all the time. She and I speak a lot on how stories seem to but themselves into our muses and we are stuck writing down ideas or even chapters.
Then, there was the offer when I mentioned I needed a beta for my Once Upon a Time fic, The Best is yet to Come. She told me she would, and soon had the story being handled. One thing I have learned, don’t ever beta your own work. Though there were two of us working on the fic, there were still errors. It happens. We were far more concerned with the story plot than making sure we followed all the rules. Missron80 tried, but hey.. I rather have the story.
Then there was a difference of opinion, and MissRon80 was no longer working with me. Kelpie stepped forward to work as my co-author on it. Holy cow. We are set to write one chapter a month, and we have stuck with that. But she pushes me all the time for the next chapter. She watches it with me… she instituted Wednesday with Colin pics. Yes. I love Captain Hook! Look, when 4Padfoot was playing around, she made me the pic below. And I found someone who loved him just as much! Not only does she love it, she enables me by sending out (me) pics every Wednesday. I look upon them as my reward for posting .
In addition, we were talking about warning buttons. And she made me some when I fell in love with hers.
Are they not awesome??? LMAO! Now to remember to use them!
She is a busy mother, and she still has the time to write, she encourages me to go to the gym with her own antics (And I have a look alike David Tenant there to drool over…) She brings a quick wit, and has no problems talking over anything. She has helped me with my new role as the interviewer of TB/SVM for the non-canon awards. She makes her own banners, and is willing to jump in and help any of us out on the group.

Hmm here is a surprise. I made one. I had NO idea what I was doing, and somehow I mashed the right buttons and made something. No one was more surprised than me!!! After I did it, 4Padfoot helped me out and showed me some tricks, telling me to play to figure out what I want to do. I have the computer, I have the program, and hopefully I can make some videos for my stories. Hey. I am doing my banners!! Gyllene and 4Padfoot now are not bothered to make the easy stuff anymore. I ask them for the hard stuff now. LMAO!

Yes, it is the 4th of July. Yeah for America and Yeah for us declaring our Independence today!! Love it!! Truly!!
But Marty and I went to the gym, (and he showed me why I was gaining muscle so fast… seems I was an idiot and did the same exercises over and over and over… yeah. Idiot.) and we watched all the cars heading to Galveston Island. A LOT of cars.
My hubs and I decided that we would stay home. Part of the reason? Independence Day is a large part of his family’s celebrations, and we lost a huge member of that family. This year is just not feeling right knowing that Russ is not with us. So there is not as much fun to be had, and since we are the only Brandiburs here in Houston…yeah.
Later, Marty ran out of deodorant, so we went to Target, and while driving over I45, there were backups going as far as we could see – parking lot came to mind. Again, towards the beach at 4:30 in the afternoon.
I understand, I did it one year, the whole family went to the beach all day, played in the Gulf, and afterwards, watched the fireworks over the Gulf. Awesome. I have done it at Kemah, at Joe’s Crabshack, and again, awesome. Even better, cause I didn’t burn. I burn easily, no matter what I put on me. I tan afterwards, but I always burn. Hate it, and know how bad it is for me. 75spf? Nope. 100 spf? Did nada. If I am outside, I will burn. And I apply it religiously every hour.. Every 1/2 hour… nothing.
But I find myself now watching it all, and wondering, is everyone celebrating the holiday? Or the real reason for it? Have people forgotten that this was the day a colony took a brave step forward and told the strongest nation on earth at the time: We reject you!! We will do anything to have our freedom! We will fight, we will starve, die by frostbite, die with a grapeshot in our heart. We will suffer just to be free.
Think on it. Nobody had done anything like this yet. We were the first, and we won. We won by throwing away tactics that were making our soldiers die. Stand in a line and shoot at the other line. Then stand there as the other line took their shot at you?!?!?! Hell no! But they did. They did this multiple times. Before they remembered the French and Indian War and how guerrilla warfare worked. We used it against the British. Why? We were fighting for our rights as human beings, we were fighting for freedom. It meant enough to our forefathers to fight for it.
The British made it worse, and if they found you a rebel, they killed you as publicly as possible. They were trying to make people fear them, and instead, they made people hate them and join in the fight for what they want. They backed the Colonists into a corner. The backed a nation of people who had taken a chance to live here, in the unknown, to be far from safety. And you backed them into a corner using fear? Not likely!! They did what you would expect and rose up against their oppressors.
This is not the birth of our nation as most think. It instead is the birth of the idea of our nation. This was the day they said, “We will be FREE!”
This day was never to be a day for people to get drunk and party, especially with it being a three day weekend. No, this is a day we remember the sacrifices of our forefathers who made it possible for us to drink ourselves to a point that we can’t remember the night.
To this day and right this moment there are soldiers on the front lines, sleeping in sand, carrying weight that means the difference between living and dying, weight that no normal American would be able to carry nowadays. These soldiers will joke with themselves, going Happy 4th of July! to each other. And then go back to keeping an eye for the next person to try to kill them. They fight to keep us free, to give this wondrous gift of Freedom to others. They give of themselves so that we don’t have to.
Is it too much to thank a soldier? Just to go up to one and thank them? For a lot of you, yes. Think about it. That young man or woman is willing to DIE for you. They are our secret service. They will take a bullet for you. And nobody says thanks. You scorn them, you make fun of them. You pay them less than most of us make, and then demand that they get nothing when they return from seeing things that would make you sick.
Get real, people. I think it is shameful how we treat our military. No matter what you think, you should thank the person who made the sacrifice to put on the uniform and say, “I will give my life to protect this nation of ours. I will lay down my life so that the average Joe Smith can live his life how he wants it.” Seriously people. We fight in this nation over the stupidest things, and the important things are pushed under the rug to be ignored.
Ugh.
Take a moment, and thank one soldier to his face. Just one. Do this – tell them that you are thankful they made the sacrifice for your three day weekend. Tell them you are thankful that they did it so you don’t have to. Thank them.
And no, it aint no Camel day. No matter what GEICO tries to tell us. Nope. So…. Guess what? You get two updates today!!!! Anyone complaining? If so, direct all comments to… Never mind. Huge thanks to both Meridian and Mknue for betaing! Pick your poison that you wish to start off with.
Now for the updates of what is going on. Yes. I missed the Sunday post. I was ordered off the computer, not allowed to do anything on Sunday, and let me tell you, it was GLORIOUS! I actually took a nice nap, and got up to date on Chamber of Secrets so I can go back to writing my Harry Potter. Ideas are springing up everywhere. This has taught me the benefit of taking some time out for myself, so I will schedule the Sunday posts for you guys from now on. Which would be better since anything I hear of True Blood disgusts me right now to the point I want to go nowhere close to the computer or TV.
All I Want may.. MAY get another update this week. I am doing my edit thing, and I am in front of the beta. I am thinking that Monday’s will be a great day to update this fic. The tentative schedule being Mondays – All I Want, Wednesdays – I Never…Did and Fridays will be Heavenly (HP/Twilight). The other stories will be up for the Betas to decide on. Heavenly is still in the writing time, but I am thinking to finish it after I finish AIW, as well as some contest entries from friends that have them out there. I am thinking a one shot to be inserted somewhere also. Hey editing is NOT my favorite thing to do. But if I handed you guys the story without the edits, it would not be detailed, and my characters are cardboard cut outs talking to each other. Well, maybe not that bad anymore, but yes. When I write, I am doing a very rough draft.
After AIW is done editing, we have some short fics coming before I drift away to write. Oh yeah What If. The first half will be edited and then I will finish that one. Then work on my Original Fiction, then In The End.. and Edge. I have 8 stories in the works people. Let me write and you will get them sooner. IND will be worked on in spurts, that hopefully you will never see. If I get what I want, then you guys will get some truly epic stories done.
Just a reminder to let others know. This weeks AIW and IND will NOT be updated to FF, FictionPad and AO3 until next week. TWCS gets theirs earlier. Someone is nice to do it for me. Friends don’t let friends read a chapter behind!

This month the contest is to write a fic (One shot or it can be the beginning of a story, just indicate which) based on one of the pics up above. Here is the catch. If you have another character you would write on, ask me to render it for you. For instance, Kelpie wanted Hook, she got a say on the pic used, and what the wings will look like. However, she owes me a story for the contest. But once a character has been added, you are free to enter under that character. Also, the Non-Canon awards has me interviewing people. I am still on Meridian, but we got a little more organized over there. Expect to see me at least on Tuesdays for sure. For instance, last night they were treated to a teaser from next week’s chapter for AIW. Just saying…
According to sources, catchy titles is the way to get attention around here. I’m trying it, but I can’t see why. I am also told that Neat Gif’s so it too. So I chose the gif to go with the video theme tonight.
What is going on in the world of Kittyinaz. I have been working on those Interviews and reviews. I am still on Meridian, and will be reviewing her stories until I am done there then move on to the next author on the list.
I am also working on my database of stories for us to update the Rec list. I was going to use sites like An Teaspoon and an Open Mind, but their way of posting things made it so difficult to get the information I needed it was not worth it. Dokuga is working fine, and so forth, so when I can, I will get everything updated. Right now, I am only adding the outside sites, and what is on my site already. When I am done, I will make the forms and such, then go into FanFiction and add the newbies.
I am also working on editing. The only two stories that will be written on is IND and Heavenly (Harry Potter Fic). I am trying to reread Chamber of secrets since my story starts off in there and manages to starts fixing stuff all over the place. It’s interesting to my group who has had a sneak peak in each chapter. WE started a suitor thread in there, and they have managed to add Dobby into the loop. Not too sure, but I have said I would add anyone with a request and a second…
All I Want, my version of fixing the mess is with the Beta for the first Chapter. Once I am done with that I will be moving on to the next one and so on. Remember Weekly Updates start for me on Wednesdays. And then the following Wednesdays, the stories are going to be added to the other sites. FanFiction is going to be eased out the door. They are getting stupid there.
I have been kept updated by Mistress Jessica on what is going on in TB, and so far, I am so not feeling it. Quite blankly, it sucks. How sad is it I am glad I write FanFiction and can my little shipper heart to happier worlds. But I will say, that both the show and books like to screw over the majority of their fans. However, it makes that we are now one of the few fandoms that the main pairing that is written about is considered Non-canon! Hey.. I try to look for silver linings.
I am very tired today but I have finished week 2 of the couch potato to 5k. I am, per doctors orders having to do the first month on the bicycle. When I complete week 4, I will be moving on to the elliptical and will be working to be running 20 minutes every other day. I am also working on weights for the upper body, and let me tell you. While NOT being sore from the Couch potato to 5k part, the weights are kicking my ass. But I will persevere and I will be at this time next year a totally different person.
My sleeping issues are still there but I am slowly bringing them under control. I have a sleeping monitor device through my iPhone and funnily enough, working out does not affect me that way. There is no difference between working out and not. However, there is a difference if I write or not. So again, my brain rules my body. Anyone shocked? I’m not.
Ok. So you know how people complain on writers block? I complain on editing. I can write anytime, but I cannot Edit anytime. But I will work through it and hopefully repetition will get it in the right set up in my mind..
I will do the person of the week again starting next week. The bullshit that is True Blood has sapped my happiness.
But I will do videos on the hope it cheers all of us up.

Yep. I know. I am a bad person. I have been falling behind on stuff. Sorry, real life was getting to me and had me depressed. But starting this week, I am dragging myself out of it.
The first step? Was getting a lot of things done, and getting things ready for the next phase. I had to make some decisions, and I did and moved things around. I am now getting better, and I am also going to the gym. Shocker!! I am determined to not be in this state anymore. It isn’t easy, but nothing worth doing is. It is what it is.
I didn’t forget about April, but we had one entry. I have it linked below in the banner. The page was not ready yet, so now it is, and you can go read the winner of last month. I honestly have to say it would have won either way. It blew me away.
The May one was a Kill Bill Contest. Real Life seemed to come along and wreck many of the ladies plans to participate in it. But I begged for at least two entries and got it. Follow the participation banner below to the page. I limited the voting to per one per person. I know there are ways to get around it, but if you are willing to work that hard, have at it.
This month is a plethora of prompts. I threw all of them out there and told my group to pick one. One of the pieces I gave them has inspired a new story for me, that I will do for you guys to read. If you are interested, just come to our group and participate. I already had an idea for the next one. But determining on the amount of participation from this, and from the group themselves, determines how often this will be featured. I know of a couple of writers telling me they started with a chapter here, and it helped them be confident enough to publish on their own. That was the idea.
Read the stories, and please vote on the one you like. I’m off to continue writing my chapter… That I will be teasing later tonight.

Umm.. It’s Update Wednesday!!! So yes. The banner above tells you another chapter of I Never…Did is ready for you to read. This has some of the questions you are asking answered. And the reason why they are answered.
I have also just finished the Mummy part one. So I have the Harry Potter fic left. I have been working on multiple things. I am getting the database started with the recs and so forth so look for things to be changing there. I also read All I want, and will start editing it. From there I will go and update all the stuff I can find.
This is a group that their sole purpose is to let the fans know their favorites are being updated in one place. They come out nightly, and if you tell them of a author you like, or story, they will follow it and let you know when they update. It is also a great way to find new stories. Go over and look at what they got! They also have a Facebook page.
Crossover Haven. The site is out there, and we are not getting much on it. Tell us why! we can’t fix what we don’t know is issues. Tell us what would make it better and we will try to get it working for you.
Same with the food blog. I have stepped back, having way too much on my plate. I am writing ALOT of stories, and you guys all want yours next. 27 stories is nothing to sneeze at, and I am actively trying to get them all updated. I note what you guys want, and I shuffle in fan favorites as I can. NOTHING is abandoned. But I do need to get my Original Fiction out.
I helped start a lot of these, but the idea was that I would help start it, and hand it off to the ladies who make it all work. I knew I could not do it all, and that time has come. I’m human.
I also needed to take a step back since I am doing the interviews for the TB/SVM world. It is not as easy as you think, and I will be working on the first review of a story tomorrow. (Too much on my plate tonight!)
I write these the day before, needing them in place in case something happens. There is a whole world working behind the scenes, and many people working together to make this site work. Often these are written ahead of time, with editing as things change.
On that note, I will also be updating the Rec lists soon. Give me some time, it will take awhile to get it all in a place that I can export and import from FF. From there I will try to go to the Blogs I am interviewing and work from there.
My board is busy with my next steps, and even my betas are starting to look askance on me. But I am working on them and will get things caught up soon. I hope.
