I know, I said I would remind you guys, but I managed to wipe myself out from Thanksgiving. The food was awesome, per everyone, and my taste buds!!! But I went to bed last night at 7pm and didn’t wake up until 10am today. Then I still had to take a nap.
I managed to pull something in my right shoulder, so yeah.
So, I will push the entries to be in my the 30th of this month. End of the month.
I still need to get the house all Christmasy, as well as switch out the summer clothes for the winter stuff. Seems it likes to be cool for the nights, so I may as well get the stuff out since I save t-shirts since I like to layer clothing. With this in mind, Tomorrow is the last day M is working for the holidays. I will be asking for help to get the Christmas stuff and clothing down so I can let my shoulder rest.
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving for those that celebrate it, as well as getting ready for the slew of holidays that are coming up for the world. I say Happy Holidays not because it is politically correct, but because I truly hope that everyone I say it to DOES have a happy holiday. Plus, for the clerks and so on, who knows if I will see them in the next year? LOL!
I have received three entries so far…
They are:
I’ll Be Home
Once Upon a December: Winter Memories
Letting Go
If you have sent in your entry and it is not here, let us know.
Hope to see more entries when I can sit down and work on them, I am so looking forward to listening to the Christmas music and doing these! (I have my Friday list on with the Christmas Songs, but I think I will need to go through and purge some of the songs…)
I had some freaking awesome news this past weekend, as well as many things happening in preparation of Thanksgiving. Who knew it was so hard to shop, then put away the stuff? Many things are sitting on my counter waiting for tomorrow. I plan to do lots of prep work, but holy heck!!!!!!
But then I had Monday that MamaKitty had some minor stuff done, but I spent the day either in the hospital; waiting (the procedure took 1/2 to an hour, but we were there from 5am to 12n!!!). By the time we got home, I wanted nothing but sleep but had to wait until someone else was there to monitor her. The lady cleaned the house after a gall bladder surgery. She needs to be watched.
Today I had GrandmaKitty to shepherd around. I got called a Tattletale since I refused to let her get out of her other Dr Appointment today. I’m mean like that, her health taking precedence. Plus I didn’t get called the favorite Granddaughter. So there. :Sticks tongue out:
Finally, after some minor meltdowns and so on, I could get online and post this chapter.
I am sorry it took so long, but the site is officially on Vacation EXCEPT for the Writing Contest. That is one I am eagerly hoping that we get entries on. I have banned myself from PS to make me even more eager to play. Plus I have time to do them and I will want to sit down after decorating on Friday.
Here is the chapter:
Also, here is the link for the writing contest:
Looking, I have one entry so far. I have the answer to my question, so I will be posting shortly the results for the writing contest for October. I just need to boot PS (I told you I was banning myself) to put the author name in and I will be putting it out after all the relevant information is loaded.
Tonight I did the thing we hate. I put together the shopping list for Thanksgiving.
I also updated the Food Blog to have those recipes that I will be using. For once upon a time, I tried to use websites that were popular on Thanksgiving. It took forever. Then there was the time mom accidently threw away the Turkey instructions and we didn’t find out until much later. I went online to get what I needed and it took a half an hour to load the Butterball site.
It took me less than a second tonight.
So I put all the recipes that I will be using on the food blog. I offered for those that are in the Facebook Group or associated with the food blog to get their recipes added to the menu, but no one answered. The recipes are all still on the site, I just haven’t been able to link them up since my computer has been acting up and turning off the internet all the time.
Here are the recipes I will be using in one week:
NANCY’S PARMESAN CHEESE BALL
BUTTERBALL’S TURKEY INSTRUCTIONS
GRANDMA’S STUFFING (AKA SOUTHERN STYLE STUFFING)
CLASSIC GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE
SWEET POTATO CASSEROLE
PAN GRAVY
LIBBY’S FAMOUS PUMPKIN PIE
On the post, is a shopping list for all of the items above. You can find it here. I also mention an app I use for Shopping, OurGroceries.
I am off to relax, and I will get the Dying out as soon as I can, I just need to relax so I can wake up earlier tomorrow.
I have spent the previous and this night researching. I know I seemed to have built in a blind spot in my story, but I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
Of course, my computer was still being a pain in the but. I ended up tearing it apart and working on it. Then today still having issues, M and I moved the tower up out of the area it was in, and now have a fan that is now dedicated in blowing in the area that has the Graphic’s card. I think it was overheating since it was below the graphics card.
One of the most frustrating things is that when I like to relax, I like to play Civilizations V. I am not a war monger, (M is) but I like building up my cities and so on. Unfortunately, the computer kept shutting it down, now I got to play beyond the 160AD. So I am happy. Tired. But happy.
But I also posted in the Kittyinaz’s Facebook Group the new players entering the Pack in Aos Si. So there is a hint on what is coming.
I am sleepy and shaking so I need to head to bed.
Enjoy the new Aos Si Chapter if you have access, and don’t forget to tell me what you are thinking so that I can take it in account.
Also, I moved Crossing the Fine Line to Inkitt, to see what it is like. I am thinking of adding Our Road is Long and a few others, but I want to see how they are on the approval process. If you are over there, I am under my real name. I will provide a link next time.
So last night a scene came to me from Aos Si. It involved Peter talking to Jason about his idea for air support.
Needless to say, that inspired me to write, but I couldn’t get to it until a couple of hours ago. I wrote it, and I am off to write more on the next one. Don’t be surprised to have a couple more. Hopefully. I want to finish this story up so I can work on others. And to get to editing this, and seeing what others have to say, if I should expand more on certain sections or leave it.
If you are a beta reader for the original stories, there is a group set up there for you to know what the passwords are. You can contact me on Facebook, and I will look to see if you are on the list to be admitted there.
Also, I am awaiting one last person to contact me for what Penname to put on their banner. Once I get that, I can release the placings.
And don’t forget the Christmas Contest!!!
Most of you are aware that every year, I put the ladies and the site on holiday. What this means is that I will still try to get ahead, write and so on, when I get the time. I bake, cook and end up wrapping presents for everyone it seems. Yes, I have even wrapped my own, until lately that I demand that they wrap my gifts. ::grumbles::
Due to the demands on my time, as well as everyone’s during the holiday season, there is no expectation of anything to get done. If they want to work on stories, they can. If they don’t they don’t have to, and on top of that, there are no expectations of anything being done until January. I also spend the first of the year getting the site updated on year things, as well as making sure none of my betas have decided not to be able to spend time on my stories.
It happens. I fully understand!
And I have spent a long time today fighting with my computer. I think I need to talk to hubbies about moving the desktop to another spot so it can keep cool. I noticed my graphics card getting really hot, so that might be a problem there. I have also spent a long time fighting with the internet, and I may have solved that issue. We will find out later.
So, please enjoy the chapter for those that can read it (the banner links you there). I promised someone a chapter of Dying and I will get it out. I just want to get the story out of my head while the muse is participating. I might actually be able to finish it.
For those that don’t know, we have been redoing the food blog. We have updated the theme, added a new menu system that is based on a menu you might find in a restaurant. It is picture based, with it telling you approximate times and yields of the recipes as well as where the recipe is from.
It is simpler, but at the same time, it is taking a slight amount of time to generate a picture and entry for each recipe we have. We have 297 pages. And so far 81 of them have been converted to the new menu. Now the 297 pages also include headers and recipes not published yet, but I am getting there. There are 15 pages of recipes and I made it to page 5.
There is a fun side of this, and that is that I can reintroduce the blog followers to the recipes that we have accumulated over the time we have had the blog. Today, I am going to share the recipes I added to the menu today. If you would like to see more, please click the above banner to be taken to the front page of the blog.
I hope you visit, wander around, and let us know what you think. The old recipes are all there, so if you have a favorite, please use the search engine to find it. NOTHING has been erased. We are merely making it easier to look at the recipes and find one that may interest you.

I hope this might tweak your interest in the food blog. It is a massive undertaking that Meganba, Missleighwarner, Missaliceunsub, and t6james6. 4Padfoot aka Robin has also spent time on the blog to help out. All this to help us when we want to find that recipe that we love so much.
And always, if you have a recipe you wish to have us to add, please email them to KittyinazFoodBlog@gmail.com.
I plan to push forward with this as much as possible to have it ready by Thanksgiving. Since during that time, I have found many sites crash from people trying to use them. This way we can have our own that we can see what recipes are available and use.
See you guys later, I have an appointment with Grandma I have to make early, so we will see what happens.
So I got off for a while for a nap, I was seriously falling asleep at the computer. Got back online after I ate something… and had a surprise message.
An old favorite story was beta’d!
The beta for this story and I kept missing each other, but she managed to get online and polished this story up just fine!
Yes….
In The End has a new chapter!!!!!
I won’t promise the next chapter anytime soon, but it is written, I just need to edit. But to warn you, Tired Wings is finished, and I just haven’t had time to edit. RL is crashing down on me, and it aint pretty, but I am working on things!
Now, I will warn you, this chapter is NSFW!!!! Good thing I am publishing this on a Friday huh?
And I am just waiting to see who wrote what story on the October challenge and will release the winner after I receive them to add to the banners.
Thanks for all the patience on waiting for this story. I really appreciate it!!
First I want to say a very heartfelt thank you to our armed forces and veterans. Thank you for making sure I have the freedom to write what I want, to follow my passion.
Second, I know I am late, but Happy Birthday to the Marines.
Third, I thought this was a perfect day for another chapter of Tired Wings are Falling. I mean we have two WWII soldiers in the story. It fits?
Fourth, I am hoping this will be something enjoyable to do after the week we Americans have had. So many people are freaking out, but I wish to inform those that don’t know…
The President of the United States of America is not the end all of our Government. May I remind you:
Our federal government has three parts. They are theExecutive,(President and about 5,000,000 workers)Legislative(Senate and House of Representatives) andJudicial(Supreme Court and lower Courts).
ThePresident of the United Statesadministers theExecutiveBranch of our government. He enforces the laws that the LegislativeBranch (Congress) makes. The President is elected by United States citizens, 18 years of age and older, who vote in the presidential elections in their states. These votes are tallied by states and form the Electoral College system. States have the number of electoral votes which equal the number of senators and representatives they have. It is possible to have the most popular votes throughout the nation and NOT win the electoral vote of the Electoral College.
TheLegislativepart of our government is called Congress. Congress makes our laws. Congress is divided into 2 parts. One part is called the Senate. There are 100Senators–2 from each of our states. Another part is called the House of Representatives. Representatives meet together to discuss ideas and decide if these ideas (bills) should become laws. There are435 Representatives. The number of representatives each state gets is determined by its population. Some states have just 2 representatives. Others have as many as 40. Both senators and representatives are elected by the eligible voters in their states.
TheJudicialpart of our federal government includes theSupreme Courtand9 Justices. They are special judges who interpret laws according to the Constitution. These justices only hear cases that pertain to issues related to the Constitution. They are the highest court in our country. The federal judicial system also has lower courts located in each state to hear cases involving federal issues.
All three parts of our federal government have their main headquarters in the city of Washington D.C.
I hope this waylays some fears I am seeing and hearing from others. For Americans, we are taught this in our Government classes, and for those that are young enough, we had Schoolhouse Rock:
It is for a kid, but still, it works. (The Bill one was the one that stuck in my mind the most, but the fact that I remembered they had one for this from over 30 years ago is kinda amazing to me!)
So calm down. Stop attacking people on social media and in person. There are checks and balances to our system, and they do work. Mostly.
I don’t want a debate, I won’t answer anyone who starts an argument over this. I am just sending this out there to reassure people, that our President is NOT our King or any ruler like one. He is one man versus the other 2 branches. He can veto, but even the Supreme Court can overrule him.
Now I hope I calmed someone down, and if not, go read this chapter. I am trying to get where I can write again, its been kinda hard with my wifi adapter going out on my constantly, as well as my computer sometimes thinking I have 2 harddrives.
dummy
Enjoy your weekend. I will be updating the Food Blog with more recipes added to the new menu. Please remember all the old favorites are still there. The search engine works awesomely, and I have used it a few times to get recipes that I have added. I am also be getting some more family recipes soon from my family, my grandmother would like them to be added so that anyone can come in and use them.
I will be doing a post with the winners of the contest as soon as my ladies send me the information. Don’t forget the Christmas Contest….
First off, I wish to thank those of you who commented on my last post. Depression is not to be taken lightly. Not to be a joke. It literally turns your body and mind against you to where you feel there is nothing good left. While I am saddened by others having this, at the same time I comforted by the thought there are others who really understand it.
Thank you.
Now, I have some chapters of Tea Shoppe, both the Alice and the Twilighted version. For those that are wondering, Peter is Hatter. I have had this question pop up a couple times, but I figured I would answer it. Yes, in my fic, Peter is British. Why? Because I wanted to see how this story worked if it was published in the Twilight world. I was originally going to see about publishing it, but I don’t know if anyone would be interested, and frankly, I don’t write like this anymore.
So I hope this helps distract everyone from the stress of yesterday. Myself? I am hoping my computer allows me to continue to work, it likes to turn off the Wifi adapter, and sometimes acts too stupid to fix it. I hate restarting the dang thing since it sometimes thinks that I have too many hard drives and that it cannot find one of them. I only have one, but yeah… Makes me frightened to turn off the stupid thing. The only happy thing is that I have everything backed up on a cloud, as well as here.
Also, Thanks to 4Padfoot, Tea Shoppe (the original one in Alice) now has a character page with stats and so on. You can find it here:
(Yes, I stole the banner from Dying)
In Addition, we added an Affiliate Sites button to the side for those who host their own sites that we know, or who are actually affiliated with this site. Click it to find out what we have!!!!
I have been overhauling the Kittyinaz’s Food Blog. It has a new menu system, and I am working to add all the recipes we have collected to it. It looks completely new, and I am very impressed with how it is turning out. I never expected it to ever have as many recipes as it does, as well as being a go to. I am hoping to get it all sorted out for the holidays for you to use. I am working on the desserts, and boy, are there tons of them!!! The menu is set up like a food menu at a restaurant, to make it easier to find things. And of course, the search field is at the bottom of the page in case you want to use that instead. I am working to change the fonts from Yellow that was easier to read on the old theme to black on this one, but if you have any issues, message me and I will go in to switch the recipe for you earlier.
Reminders:
The Christmas contest is live!!! I am looking forward to the entries!!!
The Amazon link is also here. The link is: http://www.amazon.com/?_encoding=UTF8&tag=kittyinaz-20 The kittyinaz-20 at the end should be in the address field when you pull up Amazon. After that, anything you do will give credit, even if you don’t buy. It might make it where the next person comes in and looks and buys the item.
I will be doing a page for you guys to see what all is going on with the monies we get from donations and the Amazon referrals.
