Never really thought about it. The betas pick which days they want for their stories to be published. The only exceptions is Wednesday, which is Meridian’s day. And posting day. And also happens to be the start of my posting weeks… hmmm…
So.. How are you guys? Me? I am doing good. I worked on the database, and without what I was sent last night to upload (I haven’t got that far, spent some time recharging myself) I have 556 stories in there so far. Since I have a very far way to go in the Fanfiction side, yeah. I read too much. And this is not including my follows, which I need to get over there also. I do not remember the lady who is helping me with the blogs, but she rocks (I don’t want to blab her real name on this site. That is rude.)
I also wrote another chapter for Sacred last night and the muse let slip some more information. It is a E/S/G. Sorry for those that don’t like threesomes… But I honestly cannot see any other unless I bring in Bella. I am trying for I Never…Did. And I will make it work for that one. But… it just doesn’t feel right for my Godric and Eric.
I also finished Carol E. Stewart’s Preemptive Strike, and will be doing the review of that story here soon. I am on InLoveWithEric Precious Love. And when done with that I will be catching up on my fics, before I dive into another of her works. I am looking for something I remember, so I figure I would review to give these wonderful ladies a boost for their muses hopefully. Unfortunately it won’t be until July. But hey.. At least you will get something each week for sure!
Reviews really spark the muses. My muse is chomping at the bit, which is not making it easy for me to finish the database, but the good news, you might have a huge story with out a sequel by the time I am done. That and 4Padfoot and Royal Ember asking me questions as they pre read it. lol. See??!!?! Reviews!
So to all of you who at least even hit like, those help also! It tells us, hey I can’t think of anything to say, but I did like the chapter! But reviews, man. Often my muse starts nudging me, and I give her a look. “Database first. We need to finish this up, then the edits. I gave you Sacred to play with. After we finish those we have a book to write. Then you can go back to your fans. But just wait for that book, missy. We might get more fans and more stuff to feed you. And Mr. K will let up with the whole I do nothing all day teasing.” (yes it is teasing, and he makes sure I know that everyday!)
I am off to play referee with the dogs who keep fighting at my literal feet for attention, and the dang database. Then give the muse some freedom, then back again at work.
Don’t forget all the reminders I gave last night. (I will repeat them all tomorrow.)
I finally have the new chapter of the Lord of the Ring story up.
I warned you guys it would an every other week thing. I need to write more on this, and this is one I need to sit down and really look over to write. The idea of it is awesome. But, as one reader was kind enough to inform me, I had a bit of information wrong. I named Gladriel as Legolas’s Grandmother. Nope. Wrong family. Elrond was of her line. Duh!
But it is this that makes this one more tricky than most for me to read. There are huge family lines and so forth that Mr. Tolkien wove into his story telling. The movies didn’t help either since there was no way for Mr. Jackson to make a movie on everything in the books. The Fellowship of the Ring would have been three movies by itself!
On the other hand, I spent this past weekend and so far this week not feeling so well. And it is the hateful sort. I am mostly over it, but I am bored by reading, and have so much to do. And it is stationary. However, my stationary ends up being where I hardly move and that is not good either. I really need a laptop. One that will connect all the time to the internet. Then I can work on it, and feel much better on staying in bed and resting like I should. I am good the first couple of days. But it is now I am so bad, and what gets me in trouble. I get to where I want to do something. Anything.
I am so good about insisting on my betas get rest and not work, but for myself? Yeah. Not so good.
Luckily, the rest of this week is the betas telling me when to hit publish and write these out. Also one of the ladies is helping me out on the database. I am going to work on it for awhile. Though I am being begged for the next chapter of Sacred from the prereaders. One of them is having a really bad day, so we will see.

Unfortunately, I don’t have enough on my desk to look like I am working. I hate moving to a paperless environment. It is cleaner, but hell, there is nothing to look like I am working on things! (shh on the whole I am working at home, and this is my ‘job’!)

I am writing up a bunch of reviews right now for that site, and when I finished the first one, WordPress decided that I really didn’t mean to write that. And since I did the main part between autosaves, well I basically have to start over.
Ugh.
Then after that I will be working on the Lotr Post for today.
I still have the database to work on, and to be truthful, it is beyond boring to work on. But… I will say miss 4Padfoot has a great idea on it. She is working on it in secret with little teasers to me. With what she is doing, the Crossover site is on pause, but then it was anyways until I get the database done.
This last week saw me put on my old Database maker hat, and it was a little dusty.. OK a lot dusty. But I managed to wrest it in partial shape, and I made a form, that will allow me to add authors and so forth so much easier. Which helps, since adding authors is not as easy as it should be, but to be truthful, the end results are beautiful. I have one form and can do everything with it. *sighs*. I know only another techy person would be like this.
So here is where we are. I need the sites, and I need to finish adding all of Fanfiction to the database. Well not ALL of it, but the rest of the 658 favorites. I will admit, this will take awhile for me to come back and go through my follows to see who all belongs to the favorites after this. If I didn’t have Sacred to turn to, I would be a gibbering idiot. Wait… I already am. dang.
Authors, I cannot help but ask again for your help. Seriously. I am getting burned out, but I want to finish this up, so when I turn to writing again, I will be caught up, and your stories will get lovings. Seriously. And we all want me back to writing right? I will say I am looking forward to getting the last of the edits out of the way and just writing what I feel like for a long period of time…….
And this means… a new Harry Potter chapter! (And I just noticed that the reflection doesn’t move……)
The reason for the Gif is: sorry I didn’t get this out last night, but I went to see the new Avengers. It was awesome!!! I was in the movie theater (which was an awesome crowd, they were so into it all. The Star Wars trailer let us know how much into they were, people were wooping and cheering with it!) when I got the alert it was ready, but I got home late, and I think I was burning to finish the chapter of Sacred. I did and then it was past midnight. Life was moving fast for me today.
Today I had the next chapter (For those keeping track, yep Chapter 9) in me, and pounded that thing out in a couple of hours, with dog interruptions. Murphy has understood the writing part yet. Connor is the writing dog. I seem to write every time he comes and lies at my feet. When I come ot a part I need to gather my thoughts, I pet him and they tumble out and there I go. Murphy is the I want something to eat, something to do, I need something!!!! Connor tries to guard me, but often he looks to me as, ‘Why did we get him? We could have left him outside.’ Don’t get me wrong, they play like crazy and close. But Murphy is all wanting out, now he knows that we won’t leave him out there. I truly can’t wait until we can get the dog door with the chip that will only let them out, not the cat. (And yes that is Connor sleeping on Murphy. they are very close…)
I am about to start chapter 10, and I have a new character who started out as a side, but my muse just turned and laughed at me. I tried to cast another guy as Alexi, but ended up with Joshua Jackson. Let me tell you, there is a reason I haven’t used this eye candy for awhile. I secretly rooted for him in Dawson’s Creek. I watched Fringe just for him. Mr. Kittyinaz got me to watch the Mighty Ducks because he found my secret rooting out. Bastard. I managed to escape some Disney franchise and he dragged me into it. And I have a bad feeling he might creep into I Never…Did. Why? Well….
Gyllene mentioned she was introduced to One Note because of me. I am using it alongside with the new story, and was building character profiles as things happen, and one of the things I was building was a wall of pictures with the relationships to each other. I chose these two pics, and they made me blink a few times with the similar features. Very few of my characters crossover stories, but I think Joshua may become one of them.
And yes, I use One Note. I have been using it for awhile to keep track of my pages, and what I need to do, since it syncs automatically across all my devices. I still write in my journals, since the manual writing makes me brief, and not writing the story in One Note. But now, all notes are in One Note. One of the big reasons is that it is like a white board, you post what you want, stick pictures on it, and it is as big as you need it to be per pages. And another? If you paste notes from the internet, it also adds the webpage for you to go back to that moment. *fist pumps*. So needed that.
I also do it so I can take pictures of my story notes, and put them on there for the betas to read the notes and make sure what I wrote out is still kinda following the idea. kinda. It allows MissRissa81 to make her notes and sync to the notebooks for it. And so forth. It is a way for my betas to keep up with me electronically, and since we are worldwide literally, it helps!!!
One Note is free, and I prefer it just because I am a Microsoft user for many years and it is more intuitive for me to use. Shoot I have tested beta versions of office. I forgot until the last time I booted my laptop and it reminded me to download the full version for free, and thanks for all the testing I did on Office 2007. Ouch. But since they are not forcing me to upgrade, I am kinda scared to. That version is much more smarter than my desktop Office 365! Though they did listen when I suggested for you to have a grey background on 365. (I know I must not be the only one but it was only a couple of weeks after I sent in the request that I got it!) I rather have black, but ah well.
I know I rambled everywhere. I have to admit, no one will see me tomorrow. It is my day off, and maybe Monday. We will find out Monday. LotR update is this Monday, so it maybe late, sorry. But I needed a rest, so badly after this past week of working on that dang database. It’s why I turned to writing last night and today. So much more relaxing and feeling accomplished.

And we have had a doozy of a month! (I thought the gif appropriate considering where I and many of the ladies I know will be watching tomorrow.)
I finished and published some new stories. You guys are now in the possession of the only chapters of Edge I had, and you started the Sun Holds the Moon. There are new chapters for Tin Man, and there are two more stories off to the beta, Game of Life and Dying to Start.
I started on the database. I currently have 496 stories in there. They are from Inuyasha, Alice, Alice in Wonderland, Once Upon a Time. AS well as the one I needed for the YWBAs, SVM/TB. And one lonely Twilight since one of my SVM/TB authors wrote it, and I put it in while I had it up. Last night I finished inputting all the Fanfiction stories from my favorites into the database. Thanks to some awesome authors who sent me their stories, we stand at 342 stories in my database. Yes. 342 stories, and I only got up through the e’s on the blogs. I am about to go tripping through the blogs I love next week to start inputting them.
As I mentioned before, if an author would like to be included or help out, from any fandom, contact me, and I will send you the spreadsheet. Otherwise, this is a lot of work, and since I am done with the easy one, (fanfiction) I have to go to each site, and go to your last chapter and see the date. That way if the story is complete, I can put the date in there. The date will come in handy for contests. For now, the crossovers and the YWBA’s will be the ones hit, but a lot of people seem to like to see how long ago something has been completed, or how long a current WIP has not been updated before they read. I don’t blame them, I like to know that too.
So if an author wishes to help, I will post all the stories you send me that you wrote. As a thank you. a huge thank you!! And for those of you in the SVM/TB world, I am noting who I have reviewed and not, so I can add that to the site. And to help me decide who needs to be reviewed next. Remember this is the same information that can be found on Fanfiction searching for a new story. In fact less, since I won’t do reviews and all that jazz.
I also did start a new fic, that I write on my times off. 4Padfoot was awesome and made a video prologue for it. Go check it out. It is freaking awesome. I am up to Chapter 7, and when I reach 10, I will be ready to edit and send off what I have to the beta. 10 seems a good number to let the muse flow and let me get the idea of what is going on…
Then there is this coming month.
The Non-Canon Awards will have some new authors soon. We have one more story for Mavrosal, and then I need to write a bunch of reviews for stories. I did find some one shots I didn’t read somehow on some of these stites, so I will be off to add them to the site. As well as the two big stories I have read (and reading) for me to review.
The Crossover site will be taking off once I am done with all these entries into the database. No sense in repeating myself, when I will be copying and placing these into the site from the same source. I also want to let the stories that I reviewed have a badge of some type. Maybe to have a little picture of the story? We will see. But with my interest being wrapped up in finishing this database, you better plan on me using it as much as possible to base some stuff out of!
Then there is the Writing Challenge for this month. The pic above will take you to the page with the rules and a better view of the pic. I had posted this as a share on my personal wall, and some of the ladies who are friends of mine commented that I need to use it for the writing contest. They were telling me all the ideas they got off it, so, I better see some stories! I can see many ideas myself.. Like a Supernatural (which cause I write Cross the Line and it has Supernatural it is allowed, see how this works?), The Vampire Diaries, the Originals, TB/SVM and so many more. So have fun with the ideas.
I am planning to be done with the database this month (Hopefully by the end of the week next week, but it all depends on how long it takes for the individual sites), so I will be working on the last of the edits then I will be working on the original fiction. For those of you who were Beta Readers, contact Rissa. You guys will see the posts for the readers to know when I am posting. These are raw works. No editing. Me writing, then posting for them to see. Once I am done, I will be hopefully continuing on to the next book. I will then go back and edit the books after the ladies get their comments in. Then comes the worse part for me, to send it out to my betas and get their input on what needs to be changed. After everyone agrees, that I have no spelling mistakes and so forth, I will start the process of trying to get someone to pick it up.
During this time, after the raw part is done, I will be back to finish the stories In The End and Edge. I want to also start on the other works but those two I will finish up. So you will get parts of other stories while I work on those ones.
I also want to work on Fanfiction Affliction to get my stories over there. If you haven’t visited it, I strongly encourage you! There is freedom of posting, and it’s always good to have alternatives. For those who were in Crossover haven, I will be sending out a post soon to you ladies.
Now will all this be done next month? No.
The You Want Blood Awards will be starting tomorrow, and once the nominations are in, we will be working to verify they fall inside the rules, as well as getting everything else ready. It really is more work that you guys will ever imagine. Shoot it was more than we thought it would be when we started! But it is so awesome to feel when we list the nominations and from there the feelings are even better. People are excited and so forth.
So that is my game plans. Hopefully it will all work out. I honestly can’t wait until I am done with the database stuff so I can move on to the part that I love, and you guys love. I have Dying to finish editing, Clocks,best and Some Sacred Place in Time to edit before I am back writing. So close…..
