Yeah, I know it took me a long time. But dammit when he got here he was snarky and a pain in the ass. And by the time he let me get back to it… ::huffs::
However, it was fun. I think you guy will see how alive my characters are to me, and how they can take over the story. Now, there is a surprise that Damon sussed out, and I have the couple in mind, I am seeing what you guys come up with.
The Food Blog is getting a visual change, but I will let the ladies tell you about that when they are done. Let’s say that their talking back and forth was enough to wake me up after my phone got off night mode. Which I am thanking God I have it to 10am on Weekends.
I am not sure if I am going to be on the computer much more, I have already been asked to go with my mom to the mall. She is also all excited because she got all my old work clothes. I don’t need them, and it took me a long time to build them up, so I will let her have what she wants, and make her feel better.
So polls galore, there is the Banner challenge up on the group, for the April Banner for the page. And/or a story. Whichever. I know it has been awhile for postings, but we have been busy. Unfortunately, the beta in charge of the anticipated story is not ready for posting, and no pressuring to her!! She needs her rest!!!
However… Over in the Kittyinaz Facebook group, a group of ladies had been talking about how they are wanting to know more about writing or was having writers block. We try to help our ladies out, and talked with them over different ideas to help them out. If you don’t know me on Facebook, I have a huge wall, and I go through it often. As I go through it, I share the stuff I find on my wall, share our favorite actors, and jokes on the Kittyinaz or my wall. One day I found this perfect picture that literally inspired me with a look.
So… I made a challenge. I am always looking for ways to get the ladies involved with the group, and this one post inspired some of the longest conversations and people wanting to write. We got five submissions, and hope that the next one (The contests will be posted in the group only, then posted here for voting) will have more. We have an awesome Banner that Sharon made for those that participated.
Now, for your part. I have posted each of the stories, without the authors names, so there is no favoritism nor any idea of who wrote what, and you, my beloved readers, get to go out there and vote. I will leave the voting open until March 12th, 2014. Why that date? Well, it is so this contest can be wrapped up with the Banner one on the site, so I can get out the one for the next writers challenge. If you want to participate, you have to join to see what it is. We also want to get the Banners done for the winners, and get the authors credited on the stories.
This is something I am really loving, encouraging others to write. To draw. To make banners, to get that degree or whatever your dream is. Life is too short not to do something you love. Other changes, Robin, our awesome WordPress Whisperer, and I had a meeting the other day. The results of this meeting is that we have added or will be adding some more pluses to the site. We have stories to add to the recs, and since we are not seeing many of you using the Blogs I love, we are going to have a rotating banner for each category in the Stories I love that fall under that author. More ways for you to find other authors and stories. Crossovers are getting to be big, and we are adding more to that. If anyone out there has a site, and is writing, TELL ME!! I support all the authors I can, which is why we have the rec page. We have also added more to the Amazon page, including a Recommend list that I show you guys what I like on Amazon.
I ma now committed to writing a bi-weekly blog on the Food Blog, that has to do with my menus I come up with. From what I am guessing, the ladies are still getting their feet under them, but they are linking the recipes as I mention them in the blogs. I also list money saving ways (That are not coupon hungry since I do NOT have a printer that likes my computer, and I refuse to buy the newspaper.) so my ways of saving money are from deals I spot. Nothing more. I also have a working budget of $300 for food biweekly. So it’s.. interesting.
Now I am off to try to finish the Twilight story I am working on, then Working on the MamaKitty story. (P.S. She is working on her first story, and she is posting it on WordPress, Its www.MamaKittyInAz.wordpress.com Go look and encourage her!!). I also need to work on my original so I can work with it and see about the next step. But there are chapters to come for You’re. And once I am done, I will have a lot to edit and get out there for you guys before I run off to write.

I am not sure when the next time I can post to you guys again, so I am letting you guys know what is going on.
My mom has her surgery on Friday. Seems I have a bridal shower to go to the following day. And yes they invited her too. That’s all I am going to say about that.
There is a trip to Ikea to pick up my frames and boxes. Then I will be done. ::Fist pump::. Unfortunately this means that since she thinks I did a great job on my side of the room, she wants me to decorate the rest. I sighed and agreed. But this will be a challenge. She wants a tea/coffee station. Not in the kitchen. Yeah, this will be fun. PLEASE Ikea have something so this will be moderately painless!
I have finished the prep work, and now am ready to start writing. Thank Godric! I really have been feeling the need for writing. So I plan to get it out of my system, and then come back to editing. I know, I know. You guys want your E/S new story, as well as the other stuff, especially the sequels. Last count I have 14 open stories, and I am trying to cut down on those, plus I have a mom who will be demanding some chapters of her own story.
Everyone wants stories, and I need to write them first!! I am also wanting to work on my Original Fiction. If everything goes the way I am wanting, I will finish the Twilight one I am working on, work on the LOTR one, then finish Aos Si. Then edit All I Want, and the Twilight one, while the prereading team and Betas start looking over Aos Si. Then I can write more, (tons of stories to do this too) and then edit some more. I may miss a couple of weeks of posting, but hang in with me! There is so much going on in my life, that I am trying. Writing is the way I escape and I need to relax.

And last, but by no means last, we are still on the hunt for Betas. We have some excellent benefits for being a beta, or even helping on the Food blog. And what we like to do now is pair up new betas with some of our pros at it. So if you want to, but not sure how, this is the best time to apply! Yep!! I am off the ban and back in Texas. BUT. I am also moving furniture so I can have an office. Well I was moving furniture until we found out that I pulled a tendon on my knee. That major one that makes you leg move, yeah.. that one. It kind of hurts.. ALOT!
The funny thing? I did it doing the Couch Potato to 5K. Which is fine!!! Even my bone Dr. said it was great. AS long as you don’t pull up, and as long as you listen to your body. His words, Muscles sore good. Joints sore BAD!!!! I did this last week, and yes I moved furniture around the house too. But I REALLY want my office. REALLY, REALLY!
So what have I been doing since I am sedatory again? Umm trying to deal with the pain. Right now, per the Dr.’s orders, the brace that keeps my knee stable is off, and I am on the computer. Bad thing? The computer is butted up to the wall, and I can’t move it much. (Another reason for the office to be done soon!!!)
For those that wished me Happy Birthday, THANKS!!! It made my day awesome. Specially Sharon and the Banner she made for it!!! It was really special since Sharon shares the b-day with me.
I am also going back to journal all the stories, to make sure it is easy for me to pick them up. And OI will be editing any content still in my folders. I am starting with You’re. Give me time, I have a lot to journal, including mentions of what I need to do to it to turn into other stuff, for the sequels and such. I have a new story that is also ready to go, a new beta to start up on Tin Man and a story that will take some time since it is very angsty. Not normal for me, no, but it has been a story in my head for over 15 years. It deserves to be written.
Also, There are contests galore happening over on the Facebook page. Banner contests for this month and next for stories, and Robin has a contest for book covers for those stories in the media area. She has, as the most awesome web Admin ever, made all my stories available for your choice of formats, to download and be able to read in other formats in case you want it.
Next month will go back to the interviews, and then every other month will be a new contest. I am trying to make our Facebook page more interactive. Kelly has done an awesome job organizing our photos. If you can think of some ideas, please let us know!
Just for information, I am writing MamaKitty’s fic when I am done journaling and so on. Some stories will be worked on afterwords, but some are looking to be as epic as the one I am working on. Epics stories: Tin Man, Revelations (Which is a series but epic..) Best. Best may become its own series, but I need to talk with everyone involved with it. Blood of Innocents has the capacity to become epic, and when I say epic, I am thinking over 50 chapters…
So be patient, I have many things going on, including nasty drugs for my knee that is messing with me, but as I finish a journal, I will be editing and so on, so I will be handing off to the Betas. You’re is finished. The new E/S is finished. those two will be coming. If it is a story I have published, then you will get the updates. if it is one I was working on, then you won’t. So anything new will be given as complete by the time you are seeing it. Those others, well I am updating them with a chapter at least.
As always, we need Betas. If you wish to be one, we have a process and you just have to get hold of Meridian. We are NOT allowing you guys to go solo and flounder. Those days are by gones. we have a excellent set of betas and we look forward to having them work with the new ones to understand processes. But don’t forget the bennies, access to the whole site, and so on.

This is the last post from me for 2013. So much has happened this past year, and I thank you all for the support from you all. Often you had left me such moving comments when I would pour my heart out in these posts. Thank you, a lot of you had me crying, and that should say all of it.
This has been a busy year, this domain is owned by me, is one of the prouder things I have done, and getting the Amazon Partnership makes me happy since Marty no longer has to support this site as well as the both of us. And you guys made that happen, since I had to be approved to have the site approved to be a member of the Partnership. So, thanks from Marty and I!
There has been the ending of Every Dark Night, the ending of You’re is written out, and the Beta for that one, Alicia is eager to have me edit so she can beta and post. There has been huge restructuring of the way we work, Karen stepped up and agreed to be the Queen Beta, making sure those that those who apply are all taught the same thing, and doing who knows what else. Sharon stepped up to make banners and buttons, while having a terrible year herself. Rissa became the Continuity Beta so no one will ever feel the need to come behind me and fix my mistakes. We gained a web admin, Robin, who as we speak, is getting the media page ready for you guys. It will have the stories published available for downloading on your ereader of choice. You can find it here.
We also have me changing my practices after a meltdown, and I am now finishing stories before moving on to the next. This means, when you see something posting, you can be relieved of the worry that it won’t be finished. It will already have been by the time you see the first post. I have one new story done and as I said You’re done. They both need edited, but expect to see them in January. I am also finishing up some one shots I started and not finished for whatever reason. One is called the Shortcut Home – One Shot, that was published as a Christmas present for the readers of this site to find. The other will be up once I get to work on it. Songs that inspired little stories. Karen and I will be posting Shortcut home on the other sites, but this will be the only one that has the entire story on it.
We also came to an agreement, Karen pointing out that I pay for this domain, so announcements will come in this format. Facebook first. The ladies who support us there get to know things first. We are also just 4 members away from 200, so if you haven’t joined, make mine and the rest of the ladies day by getting us to that pinnacle. After Facebook gets it, WordPress will get it, (Because I write these ridiculously long posts.) Then a day or two later, the other sites get it, sometimes modified. So depending how badly you want to know when things are posted, sign up for your preferred poison. We have WordPress, AO3, TheWritersCoffeeShop, Fanfiction, and Fictionpad.
Also I thank you for all the support for the awards this year!! ED won 2nd place for the Energize Awards earlier this year. You’re came in the end of year Energize awards in second (And Ashley, one of our betas, Thirsty got Third!), we both won our categories in the Bloodthirsty awards, and we are awaiting the results in IntwinedForEternity awards. the Burning Diamond awards are going to be happening again soon, the nominations just ended, and both Ashley and I were told we were nominated for those. The Crossovers for Twilight and Vampire Diaries are a strong community. We are playing with the idea of encouraging an award for TB/SVM stories and crossovers. Not sure if we will have it or not, but it will be interesting.
WordPress has released it’s blog stats for the 2013 year, and here is what Robin has to say about the site after she read through it. “In 2013 Wendy and the other betas posted 237 times and you guys viewed about 254,432 times. From 126 different countries you all came. From the US to Kenya.
